Tiah Edmunson-Morton was promoted to Senior Faculty Research Assistant II.  This is the highest level of professional distinction that one can earn as an OSU FRA. Over the last decade, Tiah built the Oregon Hops and Brewing Archive (OHBA) from the ground up into one of the premier collections of its kind in the US. Building an archive requires building relationships, and Tiah has built relationships with the hops and brewing industry and with the community of scholars OHBA serves. But her work is not all OHBA all the time! She manages SCARC's outreach, exhibits, and internships, teaches classes, organizes community events, and offers research support in beer history, oral history, and women’s histories. Edmunson-Morton, published in various journals, is under contract for an OSU Press book Oregon’s 19th Century Brewing Families.

OHBA’s quality and impact are a testament to Tiah’s skill as an archivist, but her talent extends beyond building the archive. She also possesses the ability to engage with audiences, spark their curiosity and support their learning. She preserves important history, and also makes that history come alive. It is not surprising that Tiah was unanimously recommended for promotion at every level of review.
