The Guin Library is located in Newport, Oregon on the campus of the Oregon State University Hatfield Marine Science Center.
The Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) is about 2 ½ hours (135) miles from the city of Portland, roughly three hours away from Portland International Airport, and a little over an hour away from Oregon State University's main campus in Corvallis.

Visitor parking is free and is available on the east side of the Guin Library (#909) or on the north side of the Marine Studies building (#916); bicycle parking is available on the north side of the Guin Library, under the whale skeleton.

The easiest way to get from Guin Library to the Visitor Center is to return to the main road, SE Marine Science Dr, and go to the Visitor Center parking lot.
